Preserving biodiversity with AGROSOL mulch fabrics for green space plantations and market gardening

Greater risk prevention is currently considered in terms of preserving the environment both in agriculture and in public communities. It is necessary to find more solutions to reduce, rationalize and replace the use of phytosanitary products, with negative consequences for the environment and health.

Following restrictions on the use of synthetic chemical weedkillers for the maintenance of green spaces and roads, local authorities must find alternative solutions to combat weeds. Manual weeding practices are cumbersome and require expensive labor.

Preserving the environment while saving time and money.

In the zero-phyto approach, mulching is THE alternative solution par excellence. The installation of the mulch cloth discourages the development of populations of harmful organisms, avoids the use of weedkillers, which is favorable from an economic and environmental point of view. In addition, it minimizes risks to human health and the environment; the non-use of weedkillers preserves the water of the groundwater which can be contaminated by infiltration.

Rational use for all agricultural and landscaping sectors.

The Agrosol mulch fabric, an alternative method of maintaining plantations for communities and professionals: market gardeners, horticulturalists, arborists, landscapers or individuals.
• For market gardening crops, the canvas keeps the board clean throughout the crop, used for upkeep of walkways and foot passes.
• For green spaces, beds, hedges and embankments, the canvas completely blocks the proliferation and regrowth of weeds, also protecting against erosion.

An asset for saving water.

The mulch forms a screen that will act as a barrier, thus limiting evaporation and drying out of the soil. With more and more frequent droughts, this is an effective way to avoid water stress on plantations. The plants will be able to develop more quickly and in better conditions since the weeds will not draw on the resources of the soil. There will therefore be no competition and these resources will remain available for optimum plant growth in soilless, outdoor or undercover crops.

A solution with characteristics adapted to your needs.

Agrosol mulch layer is available in several colors.

  • The white canvas is specially treated to reflect the light rays and homogenize the supply of light.
  • It exists in black, green and brown to blend in as well as possible with the landscape.

Regarding the choice of grammage, it will be based on its conditions of use (outdoors / in greenhouses). The more strength you need, the heavier the grammage will be.
