INNOVATION AND R&D

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: OUR TOOLS FOR DIFFERENTIATION

Innovation and R&D are our best tools in order to differentiate ourselves from the competition. The fruits of joint and permanent work between laboratory research workers, marketing teams and their colleagues in the field, the Intermas group distinguishes itself through an original approach and contributes every year to proposing new innovations in the markets in which they invest.

INNOVATION AS A ROUTE TO CONTINUING IMPROVEMENT

› Sharing research

Because Research guarantees a head start over our competitors, we undertake within the group to invest in quality and sustainable development processes, but that is not all. Our commitment consists of the constant improvement of all of the group's product ranges in terms of safety, reliability or optimisation of costs that can be passed on, all of this within all of our Business Units. In order to do this, each one has integrated R&D teams that are sometimes assembled in networks around the processes and programmes shared between different Business Units.

› Products with high added value

It is good to design innovative products. It is better to design products that will generate added value for our customers. And this is what the Intermas group is aiming to do. By placing simplicity for our R&D teams at the heart of its innovation process, the group is allowing quality to come to the fore. For both the product itself and for its packaging, we are doubling our effort through all the steps in the production chain from the design to the distribution of the product, with the aim of making our products easier for our customers to use.

QUALITY: THE BASIS FOR OUR STRATEGY

› Quality Certificates

The fact that we obtained the business register certificate ISO 9001 in 1994 and ISO 9001:2000 in 2000 is testament to our commitment to quality: the main objectives of the Intermas group are the design, manufacture and sale of plastic mesh, which it achieves by complying with the specifications established and the regulatory conditions required, all the while being attentive to its customers' expectations in order to meet their needs.

In 1998, the group obtained the Environmental Management Certificate ISO 14001, becoming the first Spanish company in the plastic transformation sector to do so.

Since 2002, Intermas geocomposites and geonets have held the CE mark certificate of conformity for various applications in Civil Works such as drainage (horizontal, vertical, longitudinal), filtration and the separation of roads, railways, tunnels, trenches, etc.
